The Second Home.... by & for the Estrada Family
Home Depot volunteers spent the day working on the Estrada Family's home at 3006 Hathaway on September 17th, from 11am to 3pm. Click here to read more about Home Depot's generosity to YVPHFH!
In March 23rd, 23 students from the University of Oregon’s Newman Center came to Yakima for a week with the Collegiate Challenge to volunteer their Spring Break building homes for people in need.
Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge is the one of the country’s largest alternative spring break programs. More than 166,000 students have taken part in the program at host affiliates all over the United States.
This spring break, more than 12,000 students will travel to 200 locations between February and April. Students participate in the building process at the stage the affiliate is in when they arrive.
Thanks University of Oregon!
